A note to remind and inform of this summers’ events organized by the committee.
Senior trout competition ;Thursday 25th June There will be no bus.
Meet at Achagour fishery nr. Nairn, 6pm onwards for 6.30 start.

The fishery are stocking the Orrin blues especially for us, great value sport. If any of the instructors can help out please ring Hamish.

Neil Mackenzie has put in a lot of effort to get this up and running, many thanks Neil.
There is still one boat (2 rods) available, please contact Neil if you can join in. Brilliant fishing to be had and trophies to be won (best boat, best bag, biggest fish)
Members Day; Sunday 12th July, Lovat Bridge Holiday Park
This is to be a combined social and learning day for all members and a guest.
Starting at 12 o’clock, all committee members will be available to chat to, qualified instructors will give casting clinics in both single and double handed rods, bring waders and tackle if you wish. There will be guided river walks to indicate best places to fish at different heights of water and times of the year. Some fly tying will be on display with guides as to which flies fish well in our beats.
We will be bar-b –queuing from 2.30 onwards and Graham has kindly agreed to open the bar for the afternoon.
Bring something you fancy to put on the B-B-Q, have a drink and a blether and meet fellow club members.
The more the merrier, fingers crossed for a good day.
Beauly Gala Priory Beauly PM 11th July
The club is taking a stand at the gala day, run by committee members, it will advertise the club and run a wee casting competition on the grass. Come and say hello if you are there.
Our stretch of the river is a cracking place to fish. Not a week ago one of the members reported a good show of multiple fish in beat 2 and a Doe swimming across not 20 yards downstream.
There’s otters swimming behind you as you cast and the occasional flash of electric blue.
Let’s not neglect it.
Finally the Ness and Beauly fishery Trust will be research netting in the Ferry beat this Wednesday morning(17th) from 9.30am so avoid if you want catch anything. Alternatively they would welcome helping hands and you might be surprised at what they find!
