River Opening February 17th 2024.
An excellent turnout of members and guests on a nice dry, slightly sunny day.
Over 50 turned out along the river to watch the Piper lead us to the water for a speech and the toast delivered by Iain Morrison, Chair of the Beauly Angling Club. Many thanks to Ord Distillery for their donation of a bottle of Singleton to toast the river.
Yorky Brocklehurst gave the first official cast of the Season followed with refreshments of hot sausage rolls, bread pudding, ginger cake, tablet and a super iced cake from Gift Hardwick – with an angler depicted on the icing, hopefully not the only fish we will catch this season!
The raffle went amazing well. Lots of donations were given and many parted with their coins to enjoy the draw. We all came away very satisfied with the first day of the season.
