Junior Rules 2025

The Beauly Angling Club shall provide suitable sites, training and some equipment for Junior members without charge. All Junior members will be provided with safety glasses to use whilst fishing and wearing a hat is recommended.

The Club will host sessions on various Sundays, dates to be decided. Juniors will be invited by ‘phone or email.

Due to space issues at the Lochs, please do not attend unless contacted by the Beauly Angling Club – Yorky or Karl.

Juniors attending the sessions must be accompanied by a responsible adult, parent or guardian for the time of the session. Junior Members visiting Orrin Lochs outside the times of the BAC organised sessions must adhere to Rule 1, and use the Honesty Box at the entrance. BAC members also should use the Honesty Box, free fishing is provided for Junior Members on a Sunday only from 11am – 2pm.

All Junior Members should have a landing net and disgorger. Barbless hooks should be used for bubble float fishing.

The Club will hold an end-of-season competition – the heaviest fish on the day winning the Junior Shield (to be held for 12 months).

Funding of Junior Fishing to be provided by the Beauly Angling Club with efforts to involve parents, guardians and local community.

Junior members will not be permitted to fish the River Beauly without a parent, guardian or Club member present – our insurance will not cover unaccompanied Juniors aged under 16 years.

Returns. Please send in your Returns, especially if fishing the Beauly River, even if they are nil.

Please, whatever water you are fishing, take your litter home
